Earn a $25 rebate for each Austin Energy-approved, Wi-Fi-connected thermostat installed within your multifamily community and delight your residents with the convenience and functionality of this cutting-edge, energy-saving amenity.

Power Partner Thermostats and Energy Efficiency

Through our Power Partner Thermostat offering, Austin Energy will pay property owners or managers a $25 rebate for each qualifying thermostat you install in your multifamily community.

Benefits to Property Owners and Managers

  • The state-of-the-art, two-way Wi-Fi thermostats are market tested, and some models do not require batteries, meaning less maintenance for you.
  • As a multifamily manager, some Wi-Fi enabled thermostats allow you to monitor and control the temperature of multiple vacant units/locations from the thermostat manufacturer’s online portal. You can easily set the thermostat to away/off settings and then reset the thermostat remotely for walk-throughs with potential residents.
  • Offering the latest Wi-Fi thermostat technology makes your community more attractive to the growing number of eco-friendly, tech-savvy potential residents.

Benefits to Tenants

  • Offering Wi-Fi enabled thermostats allows your residents to remotely access and control their thermostats and heating/cooling systems anytime, anywhere using their smart devices and computers.
  • These thermostats optimize residents’ energy use and increase energy efficiency within their units.
  • Additionally, Austin Energy also offers a $130* incentive to your residents if they enroll in the Power Partner program.

Residents are not required to sign up for the Power Partner program for you to receive your property’s $25 thermostat rebate.
