What Improvements Qualify?
Customers will need to complete at least three home energy improvements to qualify for rebates. Improvements may include whole-home air sealing, HVAC replacement, duct sealing or replacement, attic insulation, and solar screen installation.

How do I know if I can participate?If your home is more than ten years old and you have not participated in Home Energy Savings (previously Home Performance with ENERGY STAR) within the last ten years, you may be eligible to participate. How do I select a participating contractor?You can select from our list of participating contractors on the Home Energy Savings Find a Contractor tab.

What is the typical total project cost?Project costs vary based on each individual home’s needs. Austin Energy recommends contacting at least three different contractors for estimates.

What types of rebates and financing options are available?Austin Energy offers rebates averaging $2,000 when you work with a participating contractor. Austin Energy also works with Velocity Credit Union to provide low-interest financing for Home Energy Savings projects. Please see the Home Energy Savings Eligibility tab for more details.
