Save Money & Energy
Save Money & Energy

Saving energy and money go hand-in-hand. We can all contribute to reducing Austin’s energy demand by making simple lifestyle changes and energy-efficient home improvements. When demand decreases, we all save. Austin Energy is committed to helping our customers achieve the greatest savings possible.

Integrated Modeling Incentive

Integrate energy modeling into your design process and visualize savings. Create virtual versions of your building to inform the design. Earn an incentive for achieving your energy performance goals.

Energy modeling provides opportunities for a design team to evaluate energy-saving strategies and make informed decisions that affect the long term performance of a building. The Integrated Modeling Incentive rewards building owners that incorporate energy modeling early in the design process through post-occupancy verification.

Participants select a qualified energy consultant to guide the process. The team uses EDAPT, a web-service, developed by the Department of Energy to track projects, manage data, automate quality control checks, and produce reports generated with OpenStudio® simulation results. This program tracking tool allows for team-wide communication of discoveries made throughout the project which:

  • Promotes collaboration
  • Offers flexibility in achieving energy performance goals
  • Guides design, capital investment and operations decisions

Who Should Apply

The Integrated Modeling Incentive is available to owners of new construction or major renovation properties in the Austin Energy Service Area.  See Eligibility for details.

Save Even More

Customers who participate in the Integrated Modeling Incentive are also eligible to apply for energy-efficiency rebates.

See the full list of Austin Energy’s wide range of commercial rebates and incentives.
